Desert Bloom Retreat

at

Ojo Santa Fe Spa & Resort in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Space is limited to 8 guests for this Retreat.

Come join us October 22-25, 2026

This October, we are holding space for a small group of therapists, health professionals, and healers to step away from the demands of clinical work and come together for four days of restoration, reflection, and reconnection in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

We’ll gather at Ojo Santa Fe, a quiet, high desert sanctuary surrounded by natural springs, cottonwoods, and expansive skies. This retreat is designed to nourish the inner lives of those who care for others and who would like the chance to pause and prioritize themselves.

  • This is a reflective, trauma-informed retreat focused on replenishment.

  • No CEUs, no performance. Just real space to land and listen inward, in community with others who understand the work.

let’s gather. let’s exhale. let’s restore.

EARLY BLOOM registration is open

until July 1st, 2026

A space for you — mind, body and spirit

This retreat is a chance to step away from the urgency of daily life and return to yourself … your center, your purpose, your why.

As healers, we hold so much. We often work within systems that prioritize productivity over presence, and we pour our energy into others while our own needs may quietly fall to the wayside.

This retreat is designed to support you … your mind, your body, your spirit.

It’s an invitation to rest, reflect, and to reconnect … with yourself and with others.

To gather strength not just for your work, but for your own wellbeing.

Not to produce. Not to perform. But simply to be.

A peaceful lakeside scene with a staircase leading up a hill, surrounded by trees and greenery, with a boat docked at the water's edge.

A few words from past retreat guests:

“The Desert Bloom retreat at Ojo Santa Fe came just at the right time in my professional and personal life. I was feeling overwhelmed, burned out, and isolated. What I found in this retreat was the most beautiful group of fellow therapists and a facilitator who helped me reconnect to my purpose and allowed me the time and healing energy to reconnect and restore. Ojo Santa Fe is the perfect setting for such a retreat with its healing waters and peaceful atmosphere. I found lifelong friends and returned to my work and family with a renewed sense of self and purpose.”— Jessica Schneider

“Beth put so much care and effort into this retreat! From the moment I arrived, I felt valued, supported, and understood. 10/10, would attend again!”— Retreat Participant

“Thank you, Desert Bloom team, for a thought-provoking opportunity to reflect on what matters most in my life.”— Mary

“Loved and appreciated the care and presence that went into this retreat. The warmth and authenticity that was consistently experienced during this retreat created a very nurturing and inspiring space to plant seeds of gratitude.”— Gina

“This Desert Bloom retreat exceeded my expectations, though I wasn’t sure what to expect.  What surprised me was how the environment of the Ojo location corresponded to, and supported the work of the retreat itself.  The external and internal were aligned and supported and strengthened each other. Beth’s presence as a leader/facilitator was reassuring and supportive of individual and collective possibilities. The way she held space was gentle, unfailingly generous.  She held the balance of leadership and presence with humility and confidence that let us feel held to both relax and contribute.”— Marta

More than your title, this retreat is for you if:

You’re craving depth, not just small talk.
You want to be with others who understand this work.
You’re thinking about a more sustainable way to live and practice.
You want a few days to step away, rest, reflect, and reconnect.

You do not need to be burned out.
You do not need to be in crisis.
You do not need to be at a career crossroads.

You may simply need a pause.

That is what Desert Bloom is for.

What Makes Desert Bloom Different

Desert Bloom is not a conference, training, or networking event.
It is a thoughtful pause.

The retreat is intentionally small, unhurried, and designed for therapists and helpers who need time to rest, reflect, reconnect with themselves, and think about their life and work from a wider perspective.

The goal is not to add more to your plate … it is to give you space to set some things down.

At Desert Bloom, we believe that those who care for others deserve the opportunity to care for themselves. In support of this, Compass Rose Psychotherapy of Santa Fe, New Mexico is sponsoring two partially funded retreat spots.

These supported spaces are intended for healing professionals who may otherwise face financial barriers to attending. Our hope is to make it possible for more caregivers to step away, rest deeply, and return to their lives with renewed clarity and energy.

This offering reflects our broader commitment to creating access … so that those who hold space for others can also experience restoration within a nurturing, inclusive, and rejuvenating environment.

You are worth the investment.

Beth Colson
Desert Bloom Retreat Facilitator

Hi, I was born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and my journey to Santa Fe began in 1994 with a one-year internship at St. Elizabeth’s Homeless Shelter. I fell in love with the work, the beauty of New Mexico, and eventually, my husband… all in that order!

Though I thrive in the high desert, I’m also drawn to water. It’s my medicine. Whether hiking, camping, or simply being in nature, I find grounding in the quiet moments.

I’ve felt a pull to create something meaningful for those who give so much. Over the past 30 years, I’ve worked in shelters, hospitals, courts, community mental health, and crisis teams, holding space for stories of loss and resilience. I have seen how much we give and how few safe spaces there are for renewal. Desert Bloom Retreat is one such space - rooted in community and deeply respectful of all that we carry.

Come join us!

Warmly,
Beth Colson

Sophie Colson
Desert Bloom Retreat Assistant

My name is Sophie, I currently live in Boulder, CO and am originally from the ever so enchanting Santa Fe, NM. I am pursuing a degree at Naropa in somatic psychology with the trajectory of becoming a doula for individuals with chronic illness traversing the spiritual bridge of the realms of between illnesses, abilities, and the way the world responds to the difference in the body. I believe we are capable of co-creating a world where we are deeply in tune to the wisdom of our intuition both physically and spiritually. I have dealt with life altering illness from a young age, and I have learned, through various modalities, ways to access profound transformation that has opened me up to a world I would have never seen otherwise. Through our own willingness to look within, together we can transform ourselves, and thus the world.

Land Acknowledgment

Desert Bloom Consulting acknowledges that our October 2026 retreat takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Tewa people. This region is also culturally significant to the broader Pueblo communities, as well as to Apache and Diné (Navajo) peoples.

The sacred waters and fertile grounds around Los Pinos Road have supported Indigenous life, ceremony, and healing for generations. We honor the resilience, wisdom, and sovereignty of Native communities past and present, and commit to walking in a spirit of respect, accountability, and learning.

As we gather for rest and reflection, we also acknowledge the responsibilities we carry as guests on this land. We encourage our community to learn about the original stewards of the land they occupy and to support Indigenous-led efforts for cultural preservation, land rematriation, and healing.
